Zambezi Camp
11 november - 22 november
At our exclusive kayak camp in november 2024, we will guide you down the Zambezi, give you tips, ensure safety and enjoy the warm water, pleasant temperatures and unique white water with you.
We will spend the night at Jollyboys Backpackers Hostel, known from countless videos and social media postings by the broadcasters. Jollyboys will pick you up directly at the airport in Livingstone, from where you can reach the accommodation in about 10 minutes.
Our everyday life will be similarly comfortable: the program includes a daily trip to the Zambezi, with its numerous rapids, countless playspots and wave trains. For this purpose, we are always picked up directly from our accommodation in the morning and driven to the boarding point. After a long day at the river, our shuttle will be waiting at the exit and will take us back to the hostel. So we can fully concentrate on paddling and enjoy life to the fullest.
There are numerous opportunities to have a good time around the hostel. Restaurants, bars and a large supermarket are in the immediate vicinity and within easy walking distance.
Prerequisites
To participate in our Zambezi kayak camp, you need to roll completely safely (under all circumstances), have experience on massive WW IV and be physically fit. Temperatures of about 35°C and the sunny weather – coupled with the long kayak route (about 25km daily) – demand a lot from us.
Our services
The camp price includes daily guiding, all transfers, the cost of the boat porters (an important source of income for the local population) and the entrance fee to the national park.
Arrival and accommodation

The water on the Zambezi is extremely warm and you can expect outside temperatures above 30°C. For this reason, short and not too warm kayaking equipment is recommended. You should also protect yourself adequately from the sun. Lycra shirts, for example, are ideal as cool sun protection. Ideally, you should bring a river runner (Waka GOAT, Waka Steeze, EXO Zion Slalom, Jackson Antix or similar) as a kayak.
