Whitewater Rescue Technician

Since the 2024 season, we have been offering Whitewater Rescue Technichian training in cooperation with Rescue 3. What sounds a bit unwieldy is an internationally recognized whitewater rescue training course and is considered the standard among WW safety courses for recreational paddlers, kayak instructors and raft guides.

The courses are led by Bijan, who has years of experience with the Rescue 3 courses and is one of the most experienced people in whitewater safety far and wide. Those who successfully complete the course receive a globally recognized certificate, which is often used as a prerequisite for various jobs on and in the river.

Course description

Safety and rescue in white water are big issues. Anyone who is out on the river will benefit from improving their skills in this area. Whether it's you, your fellow paddlers or strangers with whom you happen to be on the same river - sooner or later, dicey situations can arise. That's when your skills, your form on the day and your equipment count!

During the safety course, you will receive theoretical input on dry land - from equipment and rope techniques to the principles of safety and rescue. This makes up about 1/3 of the course. In practice, you will learn how to handle yourself and your equipment better on rather mild sections of the river (max. WW 3) and perform simple and more complex techniques, from swimming to pulleys.

After the course, you'll go home knowing that your favorite sport has become a little safer for you and your fellow paddlers.
