Soča

Vacation like in a picture book: The Soča Valley enchants with turquoise water, white limestone rocks and large, untouched deciduous forests. On the sunny south side of the Alps, the Soča offers us crystal clear water, playgrounds in abundance and freshly caught trout for the evening barbecue around the campfire. At the Soča kayak camp, we will find a wide range of great river sections, from the most choppy water to stretches with a fifth degree of difficulty.

The countless sweeping waters and practice areas of the various routes make the Soča one of the best training rivers in Europe and a very special vacation destination for us kayakers! On the different camp dates we offer Beginners Course, Beginners Training, Advanced 1, Advanced 2 and Creek 1 Course . On request - provided you have the appropriate skills - you also have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour through the "Great Soča Gorge".

The wild Soča donates us hundreds of sweep waters to practice and play.

The camp and the daily schedule

In summer we camp at Kamp Liza, at the confluence of the Koritnica and Soča rivers. There is our group tent with kitchen, so we can cook together. The days usually start with a short discussion about the day's plan at breakfast, then all groups start to the river. Most of the time we paddle several distances and don't stop until everyone has sufficiently exhausted themselves! Since the distances on the Soča are so short, there is always time in the evening to sit around the campfire.

At Season End in October we take a permanent accommodation where we can cook together in the evening and sit by the fire. The days are shorter than in summer, so we often start a little earlier and enjoy the long evening later.
